Frontdoor connects homeowners with expertise and guidance of experienced professionals via video chat, along with other useful resources available in their mobile. As part of the company's initial launch, our team designed this jew and exciting app.

Working closely with the client and development teams to understand extensive requirements, constraints, and project goals, we translated these expectations into detailed user flows, then wireframe concepts, and then ultimately a comprehensive mobile experience.

What we made

We rapidly designed the UI kit and screen designs for the frontdoor app, accounting for numerous features, use-cases, and dynamic states. While the core feature surrounded the ability to live video chat with a contractor or industry expert about a home issue or project, there were seemingly endless flows and interactions to work through.

My role was to guide our team in understanding the big-picture architecture of the app features, navigation, and user flows, translating this into specific wireframe flows, and supporting their progression into high-fidelity screen references - all the while working closely alongside the client to incorporate critique and a still-evolving business model & set of expectations.
